Small Asteroid Entry Tonight

Here is a newsworthy little tidibit" a small asteroid (2m or about 6 feet) is supposed to enter Earth;s atmosphere...visible over parts of Eastern Africa.

It's supposed to be energetic enough to release about 1 kiloton equivalent energy...here's the link:

Peter Griffin of the 'Family Guy' would get the idea to break a chunk off the asteroid and sell it on e-bay.

So if anyone has the coordinates of where it lands presumably on a shallow lake were it can be retrieved unharmed we would send a crew out to break off a chunk.  headbang.gif (little humor)

Apparently there was a single reported observation by a KLM airliner:

An infrasound array in Kenya apparently detected the sound of the explosion which was used to estimate the energy release from the explosion at about 1.2-2 kilotons equivalent.
