I am going to have to join the concensus: I liked the older board's color scheme too. The color scheme was a bit more subdued--but the fact of the matter is I never joined this board because of the color scheme. It was a decision made on content--I liked what I read (atleast some of it,) and I decided I had some things I wanted to contribute. So if this board is to succeed--I believe it must have continuity, i.e., it must posess all of the original postings.
Also, the ability to edit posts after posting them is important to me--sometimes I get home late at night, and some of my posts were done with less than three hours of sleep. I like to go back and edit (i.e., fix any misspelled words or grotesque grammar.) Further, I like the spell checker feature--it is a fast and convenient means for dressing up a post.
I must admit that the change was a bit of a shock to me. I wasn't expecting it at all.
Anyone who is interesting in visiting the old board can go to:

It's still there and is still active as far as I can tell.
Hi, the new board is included in the largest board directory ever so you can have more participation plus I have linked in the OLD ARCHIVE BOARD site wide. So you can record or whatever. I can change colors and stuff but this is the fastest board load ever for slow cheap systems/connect like mine. Sorry, I had to K.I.S.S. the old board goodbye-hope you'll find this one better.
Yes, look down on every page to MESSAGE BOARDS drop down box "choose a forum" you will see a link 'Old archive board' click on this. I could copy the old board onto new board but this would take me days manual labor. There is software to copy this, but at the moment I don't have the money or time for this. Soon you will not see ads for quicker loads and posts in the mean time use your stop button on browser if ads distract you. And use spell check on email program or word processor copy/paste onto board post.
