BevNET Review:

Manufacturer's Brand Overview: Atomic Energy Drink is specially developed to give the added power your mind and body need.
This carbonated energy drink is naturally flavored with guarana, taurine, and caffeine.
With the help of these ingredients, this drink will help to stimulate the metabolism, increase concentration, and speed up your reaction time.

Atomic Energy Drink is a gold colored energy drink that has been imported from Brazil. Featuring a potent formula that uses guarana, taurine, and caffeine, this energy drink is a little rough on the taste buds. The only redeeming factor is that this product uses sugar, unlike high fructose corn syrup as many of its competitors do. The plastic packaging is different -- but the beverage is so carbonated that it's difficult to remove the cap without spillage.

Manufacturer's Brand Overview: "Drink the Alternative" Give your customers the non-carbonated choice. Finally, there is an energy drink worth buying! While many active adults have seen energy drinks as a good alternative to drinking coffee all day, few have been enamored with the bad aftertaste and bloating caused by carbonation. Atomic X boasts a refreshing, non-carbonated, citrus taste that leaves drinkers feeling quenched and energized.
While competing products contain similar ingredients, tests have shown that carbonation can actually DECREASE performance and energy.

Atomic X Energy Drink    Updated: 12/30/2004

BevNET Review:
Atomic X Energy Drink's main point of differentiation is its lack of carbonation. Why does this matter? According to Atomic X, carbonation actually decreases performance and energy. Perhaps this is why the few attempts to carbonate sports drinks have failed miserably.

Be that as it may, Atomic X needs to convince energy drink consumers that non-carbonated is the way to go -- a difficult task to say the least. Regardless, Atomic X has done a great job with this product. The flavor is smooth and refreshing, with significantly less aftertaste than most of the products on the market today. The can is attractive, but the use of almost exclusively orange tones makes the writing difficult to read from a distance. Still, it's a clearly original effort in a category that is overloaded with knockoffs.
Overall, we like Atomic X and think that it's a worthy competitor with a unique angle.
