I'm kinda worried but my guess is NASA in the short term will be drastically reduced. Even missions in the pipeline for development will suffer like the MSL Mars nuke rover.
Maybe in last two years of an Obama Admin will NASA see some budget increases. I bet NASA gets a total overhaul from top to bottom certain centers will be shutdown or sold. Griffin will transition out replaced with someone who carries the philosophy of education, training more toward earth/climate research and commitments to the ISS.
Not until the U.S. has been stabilized economically will there be budgets for solar system exploration. I don't think NASA has the manpower or budgets presently to undertake deep space ventures.
