KBCI TV, Boise ID May 23, 2005

There's also a companion exhibit at the Department of Energy's Idaho National Laboratory in the desert northwest of Idaho Falls.

On December 20th, 1951, scientists at the I-N-L site powered up a small nuclear reactor attached to four light bulbs, making it the first time a nuclear reactor generated a usable amount of energy.
